We finished the robot early Tuesday night, after over a month of hard work designing, building, and testing. We completed all of the goals we had set out for ourselves at the beginning of the build season, and exceeded expectations during our test matches in our build space. Our robot is better than any we have done in recent memory, due to a simple, functional design, rock-solid construction, and the most visually appealing robot we have ever made. We destroyed one of our gearboxes at a practice event in Pittsburgh hosted by Girls of Steel team 3504 last Saturday, but by Sunday had the gearboxes swapped out with more robust ones and had the robot back to peak performance by the end of the day Tuesday. In our final 2 practice matches, we scored 195 points by ourselves, and managed to deliver 6 plastic gears across the field and onto a peg and climb a rope onto a mock “airship”, in the span of 2 minutes and 30 seconds. We will be traveling to Pittsburgh from March 15-18 to compete in the Greater Pittsburgh Regional for the FRC. A huge thanks to all of our sponsors, without whom we wouldn’t have been able to do so well this season.
